A Story About Time, Loss, and What Remains
PaintMySoul began long before it had a name.It began with watercolor—
and with a grandmother.She was not a professional artist,
but she loved painting deeply.When I was young, she would sit beside me,
teaching me how water carries color,
how light lives inside transparency,
and how a painting is never just about what you see—
but what you feel.At the time, I didn’t fully understand it.
To me, it was simply time spent together.
The Moment That Changed Everything
When I was 20, she passed away unexpectedly.Before she left, she had once told me something simple—
that she hoped one day, she could paint a watercolor portrait for my wedding.It was never painted.And that absence stayed with me.Not as a dramatic loss,
but as something quieter—
a realization that some moments, if not created in time,
are gone forever.
What Art Became
After that, I chose to study art.
But more importantly,
I began to understand why art matters.
It is not decoration.
It is not replication.
It is a way of holding onto something
that would otherwise disappear.
A Journey Across the World
In the years that followed,
I traveled and lived across different parts of the world—
Australia, the United States, Japan, Southeast Asia.
Wherever I went, I carried one practice with me:
I painted people.
Not for exhibitions,
not for recognition—
but for them.
Strangers, friends, kind souls I met along the way.
Each painting was a way of saying:
this moment matters, and it deserves to stay.
Why PaintMySoul Exists
Over time, I began to notice something:
Many people carry the same quiet regret—
photos never printed,
memories never fully expressed,
moments that passed too quickly.
And I realized:
What happened to me
was not unique.
So PaintMySoul was created with a simple intention:
To make sure fewer people are left with something unspoken,
or something that was never created in time.
What We Do Today
Today, we are a team of watercolor artists around the world.
But the idea remains the same as it was in the beginning:
We don’t just paint how someone looks.
We paint
their time,
their relationships,
their memories,
their presence.
